Mortgage Rates head downwards for second straight day
The national average for a 30-year, fixed rate mortgage declined 0.07% to 6.88%* on Wednesday. This was the second consecutive day in a row to see the national average mortgage rate tick downward, and a 30-year fixed rate mortgage is currently near its two-week low. The move down was attributed to positive inflation news in Europe and continued positive news on the debt ceiling.
How to sell your home while still living in it
It’s common for sellers to have to live in their home while they sell it. It can be a little uncomfortable for potential buyers to come through your house while it’s still occupied, but you can still sell your house this way. U.S. News & World Report spoke with several real estate experts and discovered what they recommended to navigate this type of situation. Their tips were as follows:
- Declutter and depersonalize as best you can. Try to make your home feel more like a hotel room than a personal space.
- Try to reduce surface clutter by at least 1/3.
- Do your best to be flexible for showings.
- Be prepared for showings as soon as you list

Do you have an extra $5.5 million lying around and have a love for 1970s nostalgia? The home that was featured on the hit TV show, The Brady Bunch, is currently listed for sale.
The home was only used for exterior shots of the iconic television show, but it was featured in several episodes. Located in Studio City, CA, the home was originally built in 1959 and has recently undergone an update on HGTV’s ‘A Very Brady Renovation’.
The interior was updated to match the iconic set from the famed show, and actually added 2,000 square feet to the property with an additional second floor. The kitchen was updated in orange and avocado colors, and the backyard features a similar layout to what was on the show. They even added a 3D printed sculpture to match the artwork that was in the house when it aired.
